Instructions: Hold down
the left mouse button inside the above image and move the
mouse at the same time to control the view. It is a 360 x
180 degree photograph
from Mount Utsayantha during the Fall. The top image is the
flat 360 degree view.
Move the cursor within the
inside of the picture window.
Hold down the mouse button
and drag to change your panorama viewpoint. You can
usually move up to shift the view towards the sky, down
to shift the view towards the ground, and left or right
to scan around in a full circle.
Fire Tower Information:
In
1934, the State erected a 68-foot steel fire tower that was
manned by observers until 1989 when – like the other fire
towers of the Catskills – it was officially closed by the
DEC.
